Welcome to my website ...
Welcome and I hope you enjoy the site, your comments are always welcome in the Guest area!
I paint and teach in North Dorset. My work is primarily large scale oils, both portraits and landscapes, but the more I paint with watercolour the more I love this medium. My inspiration, as long as I can remember, has been faces and figures and the countryside around me. Once Okeford Fitzpaine and Bulbarrow hills, now Ashmore Down, Win Green, Hod and beyond!
I try to balance my 2 1/2 days teaching by being in the shed with my own work. It is the only time I feel completely at one with the world! In a time when people find it hard to have reward from their work I feel very blessed that I am able to have my nurture time in the shed and then to also nurture others.
In 2008 I was amazingly accepted into Artists A303, a group with a wonderful reputation and I hope I can honour their belief in me.
My future plans are to venture into painting holidays and I will be giving you information about this as it reaches comprehendible status!
Thankyou to all who have enabled me to reach my goal. Life takes you on a journey, I have travelled my circle and am now doing my '8yr olds' dream! My mantra is we can all achieve what we want, we have to work hard and enable ourselves to do it, but it can be done.
